Looking Forward to.....

OK, am I crazy??

Or is it too early to see Chistmas ornaments at Hobby Lobby? I am still in shorts and flip-flops and the holidays are a speck of dust in my thoughts! I love the holidays, but I don't love thinking of all the work that goes into them......the planning, the cooking, the parties, the gobs of money spent, the yucky weather......I can't complain all that much, because I am thinking of, and looking forward to Fall....Lilyana was born in October, so I love that time of year and will forever remember the pretty tree in front of our house....that is beautiful all year 'round....but...it is the prettiest in Fall. Here I am with excited Grandma Karen......exactly one week before I had Lil....And, I love crisp, cool weather. Not frigid, below zero weather, more like....60's....perfect!

So, with Fall in mind....I got some pretty new fabrics. Look for fun new clutch's, pillows and home decor in the SHOP next month!...and fun new stamps....owls of course, would you expect anything other than??And, oh.my.goodness. WISH ME LUCK! I am going to attempt these CUTE patterns to make new Fall dresses and tops for Lil.....you know how I HATE patterns, so this should be interesting.......and, I am waiting for a fun sewing craft night with my new budding seamstress friend.....because I have to make a new sofa blanket throw for Fall....with this yummy fleece...so soft and cozy!
But, for now....I am going to be content with Summer.

What are you looking forward to?

I admit...I have already been thinking of fall. I bought a ton of clearanced fall decor at the end of the season last year and I CANNOT wait to use it. Plus it is my favorite time of year...I love going to the pumpkin path, on hay rides, having cooler weather and going to the orchard. Not to mention all of the rich gorgeous colors that come with that time of year. Good luck with those patterns...should be cute!

I used to work in a craft shop way back when and we used to get ready for December in July too. We've started toning down our holiday bonanza's so that when Dec 24th rolls around it's a lot less stressful. I start gift shopping very early (mostly buying from Etsy) and focused mostly on doing handmade fun things with the Peanut instead of freaking out over decor and going to the mall. We'll be doing the same thing again this year too.

I have to say that I love fall too but I also really love summer, spring and winter as well; there's something to be said for all four seasons despite the bitter cold, allergy attacks, bitter winds and having to rake leaves...

I'm not a fan of fall or Winter. I'm happy it's Summer & finally feels like it here. It took long enough to get here.

I LOVE fall! It's my favorite time of the year. Bonfires, pumpkin patches, hot cider and taco soup are my favorite parts of fall. My son's first birthday is in August and my second anniversary is coming up in October and I'm looking forward to both.

I am a summer girl all the way. I am looking forward to this weather finally getting warm. It has rained sooooo much this year..which means cool weather. It never rains warm in Nevada, I love that we have lots of water for our Earth...but bring on the warm....I'm ready!

Oy, I got a glimpse of fall at Hob. Lob. and wanted to curse! Christmas!? Craziness!!
BUT, i do love me some fall! November is hands down, our wildest month--so many birthdays, including mine and my son's. This year, I am determined to slow down and enjoy it more! I love everything leafy and I adore fall colors--my house looks like fall year-round! Christmas?? It'll be Ethan's first but I can't get excited about that yet!! :) Love your new banner, by the way! And all your goodies!

LOL- I picked out that same Modkids pattern! It is SO cute!!

I hate that they push the seasons and holidays on us- it is just stupid to put out things so early. It really take some of the fun out of it too. By the time the next holiday is there you are so sick of seeing that stuff in the stores :(
